Yellow Phase Reopening

Government and CDC guidelines permit churches to open in the Yellow Phase at 50% capacity.

We will reopen with the following services:

Traditional Worship 8 AM

Contemporary Worship 9:30 AM and 11 AM

We have conservatively estimated our 50% to be a maximum of 75 people per service, while keeping well within the recommended guidelines.

Therefore, we are asking you to please contact Pastor Kevin by email or Facebook messenger if you are planning to attend a service and your anticipated headcount.

Email: pastor@bethanyec.org

Facebook messenger: Bethany EC Church

  • You will need to let us know your intentions weekly at least until we get a handle on how attendance will flow.

We must comply with the recommended guidelines for churches and create a safe environment for those who are ready to return.  We will continue with Facebook Live worship services for those who are not ready to return.

The following standards will need to be followed in order to provide a safe environment for all.

If you are ill or have symptoms of being ill, please stay home and attend the online service.

If your child/children or anyone in your household are ill or have symptoms of being ill, please stay home and attend the online service.

Contact surfaces will be sanitized between services

Because of social distancing requirements

  • There are no Sunday Life Groups
  • There is no Nursery care or JAM (children’s church)
  • Please feel free to bring your child’s tablet and headphones or other materials.

The following directive is from the CDC concerning the use of cloth face coverings for faith organizations:

“Encourage use of cloth face coverings among staff and congregants. Face coverings are most essential when social distancing is difficult. Note: Cloth face coverings should not be placed on children younger than 2 years old, anyone who has trouble breathing or is unconscious, and anyone who is incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance. Cloth face coverings are meant to protect other people in case the wearer is unknowingly infected but does not have symptoms.” (CDC – May 23, 2020)

Therefore, anyone over the age of 2 is strongly encouraged to wear a mask in order to protect others, and must wear a face mask in all situations where social distancing may be compromised, including when entering the building, anytime one is moving throughout the building, using the restrooms etc. If you are unwilling or unable to wear a mask in these situations, we recommend that you attend the online service during the Yellow Phase.

Philippians 2:3, “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves.”
